This policy explains what SalaryVitals (salaryvitals.com) does and does not do with information when you use the site. The short version: every page here is a static lookup of published wage data -- there is nothing to type in and nothing to submit, our host keeps ordinary server logs briefly, and advertising and analytics cookies are used only in the ways described here, with a way to refuse each.

There is nothing to type in

SalaryVitals has no forms, no calculators that take personal inputs, and no account system. Every occupation and gig-platform page shows the same published figures to every visitor. We do not collect your income, job title, location, or any other personal detail, because the site never asks for one.

What our servers record

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel's infrastructure records standard request logs (IP address, requested URL, browser user-agent, timestamp) for a short retention period, mainly for security and abuse prevention. We do not run our own separate logging or tracking on top of this.

Cookies and consent

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. If you decline, no advertising or analytics cookies are set -- only what your browser needs to remember that choice. If you accept, the tools below may set cookies as described.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads here; their cookies and identifiers are subject to their own policies.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe). Analytics

We use two tools to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages are visited and where visitors come from. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept analytics cookies; it is configured with IP anonymisation and we do not enable advertising features or user-level identifiers. Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookieless: it counts page views without setting any identifier on your device and without personal data, so it does not require consent. Neither tool is used to build a profile of you.

Email you send us

If you email us -- for example to flag outdated wage data -- we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and resolve the matter, then delete it. We do not add you to any list.

Children

SalaryVitals is intended for adults researching pay data and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Because the site holds almost nothing about you, most requests are simple. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data we hold, and to withdraw consent at any time (use the cookie notice or your browser settings; ad choices are at the links above). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion; we do not sell personal information, and opting out of personalised ads is how you exercise the "do not share" choice for advertising cookies. Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
